LET'S GET BRAINSTORMING!

DBS is a multinational banking and financial service corporation with its headquarters at the heart of Singapore. They are known for being the largest digital bank in Asia. I worked under the Design Research Team which sits under the Consumer Banking Group UX Design Team.
I genuinely had a fantastic experience working at DBS. They were very welcoming and had taught me a lot about designing for digital experiences. In addition to the actual digital experience, stakeholder awareness is absolutely crucial in a massive organisation with many regulations and actors involved in projects and decision-making processes. Understanding how to manoeuvre around these barriers has increasingly been part of the design process.
In addition, I learnt about how important facilitation is whether it is for a presentation exercise or for projects. As a designer, you really need to know how to lead people to get your desired outcome.
I had many little projects throughout the summer. One project was to kickstart the information architecture to help designers access the research findings. Another was to assist with Usability and Idea Testing. Finally, a project that I was able to lead was to create an ideation toolkit for the designers within our team to improve their idea generation process. I decided to make cards...
I also presented my HMW cards to the UX design team. Where we tested them out and asked them to try writing their own in groups!
